Set the RealPresence Web Suite Date and Time

For meetings and recordings to work properly, the RealPresence Web Suite Services Portal and the RealPresence Web Suite Experience Portal must reference the same time zone and NTP servers.

The portals retrieve the default time for the instances from the host server, so if the host server time is wrong, then the RealPresence Web Suite Services Portal scheduler can go out of sync.

Note: RealPresence Clariti products including RealPresence DMA, RealPresence Access Director, RealPresence Collaboration Server, RealPresence Web Suite , and the hosts must use the same NTP servers so that time remains synchronized across all the components.

Once you set the time zone and NTP servers using the console access, verify the time settings in the RealPresence Web Suite Services Portal.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the RealPresence Web Suite Services Portal using super admin credentials.
  2. Navigate to Platform Settings > Date Time.
  3. In the NTP Server field, enter a space-delimited list of time servers.
  4. In the Time Zone list, select the appropriate time zone for the system.
  5. Click Update.
  6. Restart the portals using your virtual environment tools.
Note: When you restart the RealPresence Web Suite portals and/or the RealPresence DMA system, you must restart the RealPresence DMA system and the RealPresence Web Suite Services Portal before you restart the RealPresence Web Suite Experience Portal. Due to the way the RealPresence Web Suite Experience Portal obtains its licensing information, if you start the RealPresence Web Suite Experience Portal first, your RealPresence Web Suite system stops working correctly.
