Step 1: Link Polycom Cloud Services with Amazon Alexa for Business

To register your Polycom Trio devices to your Alexa for Business service, enable Polycom Cloud Services to register and manage devices within your Alexa for Business service.
To do this, log into Amazon Web Services , generate an Identity and Asset Management (IAM) role, and download the CSV file.

Step 2: Allow Polycom Trio Devices to Enable Alexa for Business

Go to the Polycom Cloud Service portal, select the Alexa for Business service tile, and toggle the Allow Polycom Trio to enable Alexa for Business to Yes. Then upload the CSV file into the Alexa for Business page.

Step 3: Upgrade your Polycom Trio Devices to the Latest Software

Upgrade your Polycom Trio devices to version 5.9.0 or greater. Do this on individual devices via the local or web interface. For multiple devices, you can use a provisioning server. See the Polycom Trio Administrator Guide for more information.

Step 4: Enable Alexa for Business on your Polycom Trio Devices

Enable Alexa for Business on your Polycom Trio devices. Do this on individual devices via the local or web interface. For multiple devices, you can use a provisioning server.
As part of enabling Alexa for Business, you can also decide whether or not to enable Hands Free Mode on Polycom Trio devices, so that users can say “Alexa, start my meeting” without pressing a button on the device.

Step 5: Make Note of the Cloud Service Registration Code

Access the Polycom Trio Cloud Status page via the local or web interface and look for the Registration Code.

Step 6: Add Polycom Trio to Polycom Cloud Services and PDMS-E

Go to the Polycom Cloud Service portal, click the PDMS-E tile, and add the Polycom Trio devices on the Device Monitor page using the Registration Code from the Polycom Trio.

Step 7: Link an Alexa for Business Room to Polycom Trio in PDMS-E

In the PDMS-E Device Monitor page, click the Device Name of a Polycom Trio that has Alexa for Business enabled. In the Status section, you see this icon inset_0.jpg. Select the icon. From the panel, select the Alexa for Business tab and associate the Polycom Trio to a room.
