Microsoft USB Audio with Polycom Trio Systems

You can configure the Polycom Trio 8500 or 8800 system to connect to a Mac or Windows computer or a Microsoft Surface Hub via USB and enable users to use the system as a microphone and speaker for the Lync client, Skype for Business client, Skype Rooms, or Microsoft Teams Rooms.

When you set the Polycom Trio system to the MSTeams, Lync, or SkypeUSB Base Profile, the Polycom Trio system is automatically set as the audio device for a USB-connected device running Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business. You can use the Polycom Trio system as a speaker and microphone with a Skype Room System, Microsoft Teams Room System, or Microsoft Surface Hub to answer and end calls, mute and unmute the microphones, and adjust the call volume for the USB -connected device.

Note: When you run the Skype for Business client and the Microsoft Teams client at the same time on the connected computer, the Polycom Trio system cannot control call functions. For more information, refer to Microsoft Office Support.
